MINNEAPOLIS, MN --- Special Teams Football Academy‘s staff of instructors are former kickers, punters, and long snappers who have trained and competed at the NFL and collegiate levels. Utilizing a year-round format of coaching and instruction, the focus is on all the major aspects of the often game-deciding Special Teams portion of a football contest: Kicking, Punting, Snapping and Kick/Punt Returning.

Special Teams Football Academy provides one-on-one private instruction, small group training clinics, as well as instructional and evaluation camps. Lessons include everything from warm-ups and stretching to a variety of kicking and punting drills and instruction on often neglected kicking strategies such as accurately snapping the ball that can turn an “L” into a “W” before the final whistle blows.

During the training sessions, honest evaluations, competition, "game on the line" mental exercises and “on the spot” video review, where a student sees himself perform through the drills, are techniques that have elevated Special Teams Football Academy to be the leader in its field of expertise in the 12-states of the Mid-Western Football Network.

Based in Minneapolis, MN, Special Teams Football Academy is American Football University's Mid-Western Region affiliiate and is rated a “Red Star” operation nationally for the development of football specialists at all levels from youth through college. Coach Husby's goal is to use his firm's quality level of experience and training to help the student-athletes reach their potential and become a premier kicker and/or punter.
